Urbandale, Iowa is a Fun-Filled Town

Urbandale is located in the northwest corner of the metro along Interstates 35 and 80. With nearly 42,000 residents, Urbandale offers a unique combination of ample city amenities and a tight-knit community experience. Buccaneer Arena

The Buccaneer Arena in the town of Urbandale is a multi-purpose arena with room to seat more than 3,400 people with a standing room for around 700 more guests. The arena is the current home of the area’s ice hockey team known as the Des Moines Buccaneers, who compete in the U.S. Hockey League. The Buccaneer Arena was also formerly the home arena of the Des Moines Capitols and the Des Moines Oak Leafs with the International Hockey League before the Buccaneers started playing in 1980. Paragon Prairie

Boasting over 5,400 mosaic glass tile sheets, the Paragon Prairie Tower is the country's most prominent "Italian glass mosaic tile mural" and was created to pay tribute to the native Iowa prairies and their history. The "Prairie Tower" image is a double repeating pattern featuring several native plants within a stylized deco landscape of sky and field.
